Hurrah for Eid, and Onward to Yuletide!

Hey all, I and
shewhohashope would like to thank all of you for the best Eid yet - we had icons and fic and meta in both comms, and in general a greater awareness of Eid in fandom. Which makes us very happy, and gives us hope that the comms will continue to be fruitful and multiply. I'll be making a master list of everything posted in both comms soon, so that you can catch anything you might have missed, and leave feedback! (Please do feedback!)
In case you missed out on posting for Eid, please know that any time is a good time to post to this comm, and we will welcome cross-posts and links as well as original content.
We'd also like to point out that the original rare fandom challenge is upon us - Yuletide! And nominations for this year are open till 8:59 pm US Eastern time on Tuesday, October 20th. This is a great opportunity to ask for stories from our master list of sources with Muslim characters. Some fandoms already have some stories written for them: here's last year's list compiling them. But they have to be nominated in order to be requested and written for.
So go ye forth and nominate!
