Original Characters are encouraged and welcome, and I will edit the post to reflect that! Writing a character with unspecified religous background as Muslim is also ok, as long as is doesn't appropriate that character's canonical history (in other words, a fic about a Jewish rabbi or Hindu priest converting to Islam would need to really carefully written for us to feel comfortable about including it). :)
